RE-USABLE UP TO 4 x NON-ANAEROBIC ANTI-VIBRATION THREADLOCKER
What is Threadlocker?
The vast majority of threadlockers are Anaerobic, this can have the effect of reducing the number of applications they can be used on, increasing your inventory of threadlockers, for example anaerobic threadlockers should always be used within the manufacturers specifications to ensure the correct retention is applied with the materials in order the desired locking strength can be achieved. They should only be used when the two materials are the same, this can be achieved but would normally require a primer or additive to make the threadlocker work to its full potential.

Both of these products are non-Anaerobic
Thread Grip is a powerful vibration-damping coating for use on fasteners and other assembly components. It prevents loosening and leaking of screws, nuts, bolts, and parts of all types. The product’s unique resiliency allows for removal, readjustment and reinstallation of components. Thread Grip is engineered to be cost-effective and CFC-free.
The Standard Grade product is a non-ozone depleting formulation of methacrylic resins and copolymers that prevents fasteners from loosening, even under extreme vibration. The formula is non-anaerobic and nonreactive.
Unlike anaerobic adhesives, this product does not degrade plastics, seize parts in place or depend on a chemical reaction.
The products features include the ability to pre-apply it to the surface before installation, ideal for kits of parts, on site installations etc. The parts can be left on the shelf for a considerable time before being used.
Its versatility allows it to be used on multiple substrates including ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastics, wood and plated surfaces, for example.
Thread Grip provides a reliable lock and seal, it will hold parts in place under extreme vibrations.
Threadlocking with Thread Grip is ideal for parts that require adjustment at any time due to its ability to continue to work after the first application. This can happen multiple times depending on the application and material.
Applying the product couldn’t be easier, mechanics working on/under a vehicle do not now have to take the bottle with them, which could easily be pushed over when not being used. You can sit in a chair and prepare all the parts first, with a cuppa if you please. The parts can then be assembled when you are ready.
Simply wipe the parts down prior to applying the threadlocker so they are clean, degreasing is not necessary, fill the threads 30-50% full leaving the first couple of threads free of the solution, so as to make it easier to install.
Doing it this way also means that parts can prepared for assembly lines where it is imperative that the parts are supplied with a threadlocker, rather than relying on the assembler to put the locker on the parts can supplied to the line pre-applied reducing the chance of missing one.
It doesn’t have to be pre-applied, it can be used straight away in the wet state, again apply the solution then put the parts together.
Again, very clever this part, once the parts have been assembled, should you notice they still need some adjustment, simply undo the parts concerned, adjust them, then do them back up. The solution will continue to work, not indefinitely but 2-3 times without further application.
Even better it really doesn’t matter what materials you are using, ferrous to non-ferrous, ferrous to brass, brass to aluminium, aluminium to Stainless if you like, it will even work with wood, glass and plastics.
All parts today are made within specific tolerances to allow them to be easily assembled, but the moment we use a tolerance we create a difference between them to allow them to fit.
That’s a gap! A gap creates the space for the two parts to vibrate against one another and naturally come apart.
This is where threadlockers come into their own, as a solution they can fill this gap and bond to the materials thus creating a seal, the threadlocker goes one step further and adheres to the mating surfaces preventing movement from vibration.
Anaerobic threadlockers form into a hard resin, resin, which, by its very nature can be brittle, we all know what happens when brittle parts get extreme duress over time, they can crack.
Our non-anaerobic threadlocker appears as a resilient plastic, the solution adheres to the surfaces and bonds with itself
This is not a bad thing it just means that you have to the correct threadlocking solution for the application it is being used on.
If you need something not to move, weld it or make it from solid.
This is not always practical and a lot of the time it is necessary to bolt, screw or hold parts in place with the requirement for them to stay there.
Threadlockers have been used from the moment the wheel was invented to stop it from coming off!
There have been an innumerate number of methods of threadlocking over the years, tab washers, castle nuts with split pins and wiring, to name but a few.
Until the introduction of liquid threadlockers which have, by far, taken the lead in this field.
We don’t have a huge website with loads of different formulae for different threadlocking applications.
We have 2 threadlockers:
THREAD GRIP – Standard

THREAD GRIP– STANDARD can be used on cold areas of contact. For example, push bikes, garden or indoor furniture, car body panel etc.
Available in 2ml vial & 15ml & 30ml bottles or pre-applied on free issue parts.
THREAD GRIP – Heat Activated

THREAD GRIP – HEAT ACTIVATED performs in areas of heat dissipation. Examples including but not limited to exhaust manifolds, engine mounts, sump bolts, engine covers.
Available in 2ml vial & 15ml & 30ml bottles or pre-applied on free issue parts.
Approximate coverage per 10 ml of THREAD GRIP – 40 pcs of M8 threads or 20 pcs of M12 threads. For guidance purposes only.
PRODUCT BENEFITS of THREAD GRIP
- THREAD GRIP reliably seals and locks parts in place where there is extreme vibration
- THREAD GRIP can be removed and re-installed multiple times for maintenance purposes
- THREAD GRIP is non-corrosive and does not degrade parent materials
- THREAD GRIP bonds with all metals, glass, most plastics, aluminium etc
- THREAD GRIP minimises galling and stripping of threads
- THREAD GRIP will not harden like anaerobic thread locking products
- THREAD GRIP is suitable for threaded, and non-threaded parts
- THREAD GRIP impervious to fresh and salt water
- THREAD GRIP requires no additives or primers
- THREAD GRIP reduces wastage by brushing onto the application
